Maybe a better title for this should be:
Much Ado About Nothing
It might be a more appropriate title...Ellie and I saw the play here in Chicago last month and besides, we just got back from London where we went to the Globe Theater.
Anyway, anyone who knows me (Randy), knows that I LIKE TECHNOLOGY. However, this blog thing is not something that I am quite sure about yet. I understand that blog comes from the shorting of web log and is akin to keeping a diary on a billboard located on a major interstate.
Is it just that you want to hear yourself talk or type?
How is it better than a traditional website?
It certainly is easier to share information with family and friends than setting up and making changes to a website. Maybe that is the point.
Maybe, it is for the budding or frustrated journalist, wanting to share their opinions on local music, plays, books, or anything else that strikes their fancy. I wonder what makes them think that people care anymore about their opinions than we care about the opinions of individuals who receive some sort of compensation for printing their opinions in the local or national daily.
Well, I am going to try to embrace it, or more likely give it a tentative hug like the ones that I used to give the aunt that I had never met before when I was a lot younger...
